during my undergraduate studies at ocad university (BDes) I developed a thesis project addressing the issue of over-tourism in certain countries caused by the 'instagram effect,' which often diverts attention away from other destinations. to tackle this, i created gem—an app designed to help users discover hidden gems worldwide and plan their trips using itineraries shared by others. learn more below.
